More News On CM Punk Leaving, Meeting Vince McMahon Before RAW

It was noted earlier that CM Punk had spoken to Vince McMahon at RAW before leaving the WWE. Post-conversation, and post walk-out, Vince and creative were left scrambling to re-write the show. The reason why Kofi Kingston and Alberto Del Rio's match went so long was because it came during a period where Punk was supposed to be on air. In order to cover the full length of time, the match had to be extended.

Plans going forward now call for Sheamus to replace Punk at Smackdown tapings he was advertised for, and for Punk to be pulled from Elimination Chamber Advertisements.

It is apparently known that the assumption for quite some time was that Punk was planning to leave when his contract was up in July.

It is also interesting to note that the WWE's official Twitter account unfollowed CM Punk Twitter account today.
