We open with Triple H. The COO admits to being humbled and a little nervous whenever he's in the ring with Undertaker. Last week, however, was not the case. Two videos are shown. One is a highlight reel of UT at his best. The other is from Wrestlemania 27, when UT needed help leaving the ring. HHH also said the Board should have a final decision on John Laurinaitis as early as tomorrow. Uh-oh.
A 3rd video played, this one with UT vowing vengeance, and inviting HHH to take another crack at him at Wrestlemania.
1. Non-title: Daniel Bryan (w/AJ Lee) vs. Big Show.
To illustrate just how Bryan has changed since winning the World title, he is tempting fate again, putting AJ in harm's way by bringing her out to ringside. All the spunk of this doll is gone. There is a near collision, but Show stops just in time, bracing himself against a ringpost to protect himself & AJ. Bryan, however, takes the opportunity to leave the premises and give up the match, or, as Michael Cole puts it, weasel out. Winner: Big Show.
Bryan cut a promo after berating Show, trying again to blame the former champion for AJ's condition when in fact, and Cole actually admits this, Bryan is responsible, although Cole also blamed AJ for being blinded by her love for Bryan.
David Otunga asked for a prayer on behalf of Laurinaitis, as an excuse to do some Tebowing. Justin Roberts then announces Otunga's in a match, despite the fact he's in a sweater and dress clothes. Uh-oh!
2. Sheamus vs. David Otunga.
First, Otunga brought the Emerald Frosien back to WWE, only to see Sheamus use it on Smackdown. Now, Sheamus squashes Otunga like a bug. Yawn. Winner: Sheamus.
3. Randy Orton & Great Khali vs. Cody Rhodes & Wade Barrett.
To illustrate the every-man-for-himself concept of the Elimination Chamber, Orton & Khali are not getting along, making hard tags to each other. Rhodes & Barrett are accustomed to tagging, but couldn't get out of the blocks. Khali tagged himself in, just as Orton had Rhodes set up for the RKO. Rhodes goes for the Beautiful Disaster, but Khali chops him down and that is it. Winners: Randy Orton & Great Khali.
Post-match, the winners turned on each other, ending with Orton hitting the RKO on Khali.
Last week, NASCAR's Carl Edwards paid a visit, and we learn that John Cena will be the honorary starter at the Daytona 500 on 2/26. A lengthy video on Cena also played, as did the usual feature piece on the Elimination Chamber.
4. Beth Phoenix, Natalya Niedhart, & the Bella Twins vs. Tamina, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, & Alicia Fox.
Not mentioned is the fact that this is a return from the Royal Rumble, but way shorter. Kelly & Alicia never tagged in. Neither did Natalya. Beth got into an argument with Brie Bella. Kelly & Alicia got Nikki off the apron, and Tamina squashed Brie like a bug with the Superfly Splash. Winners: Tamina, Kelly Kelly, Eve Torres, & Alicia Fox.
Earlier, Chris Jericho cut a promo claiming that everyone's a wannabe or copycat. CM Punk decided to punk out Jericho by taking a page from Jericho's playbook, that being keeping his mouth shut........
5. Non-title: CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho, R-Truth, The Miz, Kofi Kingston, & Dolph Ziggler (w/Vickie Guerrero).
Before the final commercial, Truth crashed & burned on a plancha dive, as Miz failed to catch him. Truth was removed after doctors determined that he couldn't continue. I suspect a concussion. The end saw Punk hit the GTS on Ziggler, but Jericho, seizing the moment, pulled Punk out of the ring and tossed him over the announce table. He then pinned Ziggler, needlessly putting a foot on the bottom rope at 3. Winner: Chris Jericho.
As a result, Jericho will be the last man to enter the Elimination Chamber in the WWE title match.
Laurinaitis did show up, and told HHH that he suggested to the Board that Kane would face John Cena in an ambulance match at Elimination Chamber. HHH mocked that and said that maybe Laurinaitis should end up in an ambulance. We also learned that Shawn Michaels will return next week, as the build for Mania continues. The show ends with Kane hassling Eve backstage, but telling her that he is actually afraid of himself for the first time, and that he is afraid for Eve and Cena. Hmmmmmm........
