We open tonight, once again, with COO Triple H. He starts by apologizing to John Cena and the WWE Universe, because, he admits, he made a mistake in the title match at Summerslam. As far as Kevin Nash is concerned, he left tickets for his old friend at the Will Call window, and invited Nash to appear tonight to explain why he attacked CM Punk in the post-match, which, of course, led to Alberto Del Rio winning the title after cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Del Rio is introduced, and Triple H departs.

Del Rio's destiny has been fulfilled, and he brings up that his first title defense will be against Rey Mysterio. He didn't plan on cashing in the briefcase, but after Nash attacked Punk, well, he just couldn't resist. Uh-huh. No one was buying his claims of being a champion for the people.

When last seen, Triple H was going into Cena's dressing room for a personal apology.

1. John Morrison vs. R-Truth.

Return from last week, but this time, it's falls count anywhere. However, they don't stray too far from ringside. Morrison hit a corkscrew plancha on the floor for 2. Truth with a released gourdbuster for 2, also on the floor. Truth hit a running knee to the head with Morrison sitting in front of the barricade. Truth pulled a spare swivel chair out to ringside, but would wind up sitting in it himself. Morrison hit a running front leg lariat, tipping over Truth & the chair, to end it. Winner: John Morrison.

The Miz is out, but it's a waste of time, because instead of his usual self-serving promo, Miz calls attention to Subway pitchman Jared Fogle, then steals the new crispy chicken sub, trying to prove he can do a better ad than Jared. No, he can't. Too much ego involved, as would be demonstrated when one of his 7-11 ads airs later. Miz takes two bites out of the sub, and probably finished it off as he headed to the back.

Kevin Nash arrives at the arena via limo.

2. Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres vs. the Bella Twins.

To the surprise of many, Kelly is still the Divas champ, after beating Beth Phoenix at Summerslam. Personally, I thought Beth & Natalya would face Eve & Kelly, but maybe another time. Not much to this one, and it was kept short. The twins employed frequent tags and got the heat on Kelly. Hot tag to Eve, who took over on offense and never let up. Kelly cleared out Nikki, while Eve hit a top rope moonsault to finish Brie. Winners: Kelly Kelly & Eve Torres.

Post-match, Beth & Natalya are out, looking fierce & fly, and offer polite applause.

CM Punk arrives.

Nash is brought out, and he seems to imply that Triple H gave him the order to "stick" whomever won the title match, be it Cena or Punk. Punk is out, and he doesn't seem to be buying. Neither is Jim Ross. Punk, after jawing back & forth with Nash, decides to confront him in the ring, but is cut off by security. Rather than risk getting dragged out of the arena, Punk backs off, and decides to talk to HHH himself.........

Nash reaches the COO's office first, but no one is there. John Lauranitis shows up, and invites Nash to his office. Hmmmmm.......

3. Alex Riley vs. Jack Swagger.

US Champ Dolph Ziggler & Vickie Guerrero joined the announcers for this one, creating a very crowded announce table. Dolph glossed over Vickie's meltdown last week, and said he was giving her a pass. Sounds like they're eventually going to be split. Vickie, it would be implied, was considering adding Swagger to her stable. She took a step in that direction by stealing JR's hat and, after modeling it, went up to the apron. Ref Justin King ordered her off, but not before she planted the hat on his head. Swagger took forever to hit the doctor bomb, though, to put Riley away, as Vickie's antics were a waste of time. Winner: Jack Swagger.

Post-match, Ziggler, seeing the hat on the floor, stomped on it.

4. Non-title: David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty vs. Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston.

The champs need new challengers. Naturally, Uncreative is being very slow to develop a tag title feud, but this may help. They got the heat on Kingston, but only for a short time. Bourne is tagged in, and the complexion of the match changes. Otunga tries to get rid of Kingston, who simply bounces his head off the top rope and gets rid of Otunga instead. McGillicutty makes a cardinal mistake and sends Kingston back to his corner, where Bourne tags himself back in. Trouble in Paradise sets up Air Bourne. See ya. Winners: Evan Bourne & Kofi Kingston.

Punk reaches the COO's office, but finds the Game's wife, Stephanie McMahon, making her first appearance on Raw since 11/1/10. She is sorry for what happened, but tells Punk that sometimes, people get what they deserve.......

5. WWE title: Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio.

One year ago, Del Rio debuted on Smackdown and sent Mysterio to the disabled list after their first match. Tonight, it's about something bigger. Rey's got the home field advantage, but also has a balky knee, as he's visibly hobbling. Doesn't stop him from hitting a lot of spots, including an Asai moonsault on the floor. Rey hits the 619 on the 3rd try, but Del Rio blocks the missile splash with his knees and cradles Rey for the clean pin. Winner: Alberto Del Rio.

Unsatisfied with his first successful title defense, Del Rio decides to attack Rey anew post-match, trying to break Mysterio's arm. John Cena makes the save, and cuts a promo on Del Rio, so we'll get Cena vs. Del Rio after all, for the title, while CM Punk must deal with a different kind of conspiracy......
