3. Intercontinental title: Kofi Kingston def. Dolph Ziggler via countout.
4. Amateur rules match: Jack Swagger def. MVP-DQ.
5. Alberto Del Rio def. Carlos Sanchez-submission.
6. Big Show def. Luke Gallows.
Detailed Results
1. Non-title: Kane vs. Rey Mysterio.
Return match from Summerslam, but instead of defending the World title, Kane insisted on this being no-DQ. Kane goes for the plunder early, grabbing a kendo stick, but Rey takes it away. After two shots, Rey decides to build a head of steam before using the stick again, but Kane stops his charge with a Mafia kick to the head. Rey gets in a late rally, but Kane barely sells the 619, and catches Rey coming off the top rope with a chokeslam onto a chair Rey had left on the mat. Winner: Kane.
Post-match, as the trainer is attending to Rey, Alberto Del Rio comes down, and adds injury to insult with the cross-armbreaker, followed by wrapping Rey's arm in the chair and slamming Rey into the post.
2. CM Punk (w/Straight Edge Society) vs. JTG.
This show was taped 9 days ago. Since then, Serena, the "anti-Diva" has been released by WWE, so tonight is the last night we'll see her. For now. JTG has some new gear, not that it'll help, as this one's an el squashola. Punk hits the GTS, but, realizing that will never work against Big Show, applies the anaconda vice, and JTG taps. Winner: CM Punk.
After, Punk berates the SES, and one has to notice that Serena is not raising her arm in allegiance to the SES. Luke Gallows has Show later, but Punk issues an ultimatum. Be better, or be gone! I guess Serena falls under the latter.
Rosa Mendes is showing Teddy Long a new workout apparatus that a lot of Hollywood celebrities are using. Long is digging. Rosa leaves, and as Long settles down to read WWE Magazine, he discovers Hornswoggle, still dressed as shrubbery. He learns that the leprechaun had spied on LayCool last week, and concocts a partnership with Hornswoggle......
"Dashing" Cody Rhodes on: shaving. La-de-dah!
3. Intercontinental title: Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston.
The stipulation attached to this match is that if Ziggler is DQ'd again, as he was last week, he loses the title. Unfortunately, Vickie Guerrero, the power-mad valet of Ziggler, can't be sent away from the arena to even things out. Kofi needs to have someone at ringside to offset the wicked widow. Back & forth go champion & challenger, trading nearfalls. One false finish has Kofi hitting the SOS, but Ziggler, for the 2nd time in the match, gets a hand on the rope a split second before the 3, and the ref continues the match. Kofi is bent on going after Ziggler on the floor, but Guerrero tries to block. As the ref berates Guerrero, Kingston hits a springboard cross-body block. The two hit matching lariats on the floor, and now, it's a race back to the ring. However, Guerrero, afraid her meal ticket will lose the title, holds Ziggler back, enabling Kofi to beat the count. Winner: Kofi Kingston via countout.
Kofi chases Ziggler up through the stands and out of the arena. Maybe next time, they ban Vickie from the building, or handcuff her to Hornswoggle whilst in a cage.
Kane's promo from last week is replayed.
4. Jack Swagger vs. MVP.
This is billed as the "Jack Swagger, Sr. Invitational", despite the fact that the younger Swagger left his father to be tombstoned by Kane a few weeks back. If MVP were to win, he gets to throw a block party, with Swagger footing the bill. However, if Swagger wins, he takes over MVP's VIP Lounge, perhaps next week. Hmmmmm. I think I know how this is going to turn out...
First man to 5 takedowns wins. Swagger takes a quick 3-0 lead, but his taunting leads to MVP punching him, which you can't do in amateur wrestling. Winner: Jack Swagger via DQ.
Post-match, Swagger applies the anklelock on the floor after clobbering MVP. That alone would result in reversing the DQ in favor of MVP for Swagger's disrespectful actions, but that won't happen, unfortunately.
Team LayCool are posting with the fragmented women's title for a photo shoot as Kaval looks on approvingly. Then, the girls talk trash about Melina, and may not be aware of what Teddy has planned for them........
Pictures are shown of the historic 1st visit to China.
5. Alberto Del Rio vs. Carlos Sanchez.
El squashola #2. The local jobber gets only a token smidge of offense before Del Rio puts him away with the cross-armbreaker. Winner: Alberto Del Rio.
Big Show is on his way for his main event match vs. Luke Gallows, escorted by Kelly Kelly. That match is next.
6. Big Show (w/Kelly Kelly) vs. Luke Gallows (w/Joseph Mercury & Serena).
Gallows has his own music, so he has life after the SES forthcoming to be sure. Not much offense, though, as the colossus has little trouble. Kelly takes out Serena, and Mercury is a helpless tool. Gallows is KO'd. Winner: Big Show.
Now comes the return of the Dead Man, the Undertaker. What is his response to Kane's actions? The Phenom claims Kane is spinning a web of lies. Kane is out to rebut, and the verbal jousting reaches a fever pitch. While the match isn't set yet, the battle for the World title---and perhaps, something more---will be joined between the Brothers of Destruction at Night of Champions.
