I'm going to keep this short, and save the vitriol on the state of TNA for a future Reaction Zone column.

We open with Sting, who brings Jeff Hardy out. Seems he can relate to Hardy's sitch, and thus gives the former champ his full support. That doesn't sit well with the current champ, Robert Roode, who brings his the revamped Immortal, which is represented here by Bully Ray & Kurt Angle. Roode's former partner, James Storm, is out, along with Abyss, who turned face while I was away all these months. Anyway, a 6-man tag is made for the main event.

1. TNA Knockouts tag titles: Gail Kim & Madison Rayne vs. Traci Brooks & Mickie James.

Gail's barely been back in TNA, and she's already a double-champ, as she also has the Knockouts singles title. The bad news is that she has the biggest spoiled brat in the business in Rayne as a tag partner. Whatever. From what I've been reading lately, it seems Gail's perceived to be a brat backstage, too. Good luck with her, Robert Irvine, you're going to need it. Anyway, this is about what you'd expect, as these days, any women's match, be it TNA or WWE, is the same, depending on talent level and creative interest. Bottom line is that the champs retain after Gail puts Traci away with Eat DeFeet. Hmm, I think Rayne had a similar finisher the last I checked. Winners: Gail Kim & Madison Rayne.

2. Gunner vs. Rob Van Dam.

Ric Flair wanted to be in Gunner's corner, but he's been banned by Sting. Sounds like those old rivals are gearing up for another war. Please don't. This wasn't worth writing home about, and we've seen better from both of these guys against other opponents. The fight spills out onto the floor, where RVD keeps crashing. Neither's paying attention to the ref's count however, and thus both are counted out. Winner: None.

3. Austin Aries & Kid Kash vs. Xema Ion & Jesse Sorenson. Not entirely familiar with the two faces. Aries is on his 2nd tour of duty with TNA, as he was billed as Austin Starr 6 years ago, but is the current X division champ. "A-Double" deserves to be in the hunt for the big prize, though. Kid Kash looks like he's aged rather suddenly the last 6 years. Aries was left confused as he never saw Sorenson make a blind tag whilst trying to finish Ion, so Sorenson takes the match with a tornado DDT. Winners: Xema Ion & Jesse Sorenson.

4. Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus vs. Fortune (AJ Styles & Frankie Kazarian).

Fortune seems to be crumbling, and former member Christopher Daniels may be responsible, as he's playing a new round of mind games with long time frenemy Styles. Actually, new head writer Bruce Prichard may be responsible by not rejecting ideas from Vince Russo, but, again, whatever. Joe & AJ have had their share of wars in the past, and the same holds for Joe & Kaz. Joe & Magnus as a team? A matter of convienence, and one that may be worth the tag titles. High knee in the corner to Styles, followed by an elbow off the top from Magnus, and Joe pins Styles. Well, that never gets old, does it? Winners: Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus.

Joe & Magnus have been tag champs before, but with different partners. At Genesis, they will look to be champs as a team, facing Crimson & Matt Morgan.

5. Kurt Angle, Robert Roode, & Bully Ray vs. Jeff Hardy, Abyss, & James Storm.

Nothing gets settled here, as this actually previews a trio of PPV matches. Hardy gets the next shot at Roode, Abyss meets Ray, and Storm & Angle renew hostilities. About what you'd expect from this bunch close to a PPV. It all breaks down, the ref loses control, and it ends in a double-DQ, but the show ends with Roode, Ray, & Angle standing tall. I predict two of those three won't be on Sunday.
