From Las Vegas:
Colt Cabana is back at the desk after being off the last couple of weeks.
Silas Young & Beer City Bruiser open. Silas brags about beating Jay Lethal at Death Before Dishonor, and wants to be the new "Golden Boy". He also thinks he's found the perfect partner for himself & Bruiser vs. the Bullet Club for the 6-man titles. Enter Adam Page & the Young Bucks, collectively the Hung Bucks. Turns out Young's recruited Minoru Suzuki. The titles are on the line in the main event.
1. ROH TV title: Kenny King vs. Josh Woods.
Good match. Very even all the way. Woods went for the gogoplata at the end, but King used his height and leaned into the pin.
Winner: Kenny King.
King cut a promo after putting over Woods, then declaring he'd be a fighting champ. Soon, Shane Taylor, Chucky T (Chuck Taylor), Punishment Martinez, & Mark Briscoe are out. Smell a 4-way for the title shot down the road.
2. ROH 6-man tag titles: Hung Bucks vs. Silas Young, Beer City Bruiser, & Minoru Suzuki.
This is my first look at Suzuki. Ian Riccoboni claims Suzuki was one of the founding fathers of MMA. Uh-huh. Decent, taking up 2 commercial breaks. Page hit 2 shooting star planchas, the 2nd setting up a modified IndyTaker on Young. Bruiser hit the cannonball plancha on Page after the first plancha. It ended with Page hitting the Rite of Passage (Omori Driver) on Bruiser to retain.
Winners: The Hung Bucks.
Post-match, the challengers imploded. Predictable.
Jay Briscoe was ready to reveal why he turned on Bully Ray. Tommy Dreamer comes out as a surprise. He tells the story of how Bully suffered a concussion on Raw in Vegas 15 years ago. He's not fighting Ray's battle, but he wants to help Jay understand what he's done. Sounds like another concussion for Ray. Tommy leaves, and so does Jay as we sign off.
