TV Rating:
1. Eddie Edwards def. Mike Bennett.
2. Grizzly Redwood, Kamen Dickerson, & Jay Lethal def. Michael Elgin-DQ due to interference from Roderick Strong.
3. The All Night Express def. The Young Bucks, 2 falls to 1 in a elimination match.
1. Eddie Edwards vs. Mike Bennett (w/Maria Kanellis & Bob Evans).
Bennett scored what was considered an upset the last time these two met. Too bad ROH won't consider barring Evans & Kanellis from ringside. Bennett & Kanellis are wearing matching yellow outfits. Kind of like their attitude. Very even matchup between two cruiserweights from Massachusetts. Edwards had to make sure Kanellis & Evans were kept in check the whole way, and should've had some backup. I didn't think ROH did things this way, it's so like the others in that regard. The match ended when Edwards cradled Bennett tightly and gained the fall. Winner: Eddie Edwards.
Edwards certainly didn't look like a winner after as Bennett & Evans beat him down to get the heat back.
2. Michael Elgin (w/Truth Martini & Roderick Strong) vs. Grizzly Redwood & Kamel Dickerson.
Dickerson is a rookie who just signed with ROH. He was supposed to go 1-on-1 with Redwood, ROH's answer to Spike Dudley (he's even lighter than Spike at 143), which was a surprise to me, as I've always envisioned Griz as being bigger. Martini came out to spoil it and offered the two $1000 to team up against Elgin.
Dickerson was taken out of the match after a spinning sitout powerbomb. Ref Paul Turner ruled Dickerson couldn't continue, so that left Redwood all alone. That lasted until Jay Lethal came out to replace Dickerson. Turner allowed the change (Good thing this isn't WWE), and that proved to be the difference. Just as Redwood got the hot tag to Lethal, Strong butted in and wiped out Redwood on the floor for no reason. Lethal hit the Lethal Combination. Strong ran in for a double team, and that ended the match, costing Elgin big time. Winners: Grizzly Redwood, Kamel Dickerson, & Jay Lethal via DQ.
After a break, it was shown that Martini, in order to keep the House of Truth together, forced reconciliation between Strong & Elgin. That won't last, trust me.
Inside ROH starts the hype for Best In The World, taking place in 5 weeks on 6/24 in New York. There are also interviews with the All Night Express & the Young Bucks to promote the main event.......
3. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) vs. The All Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus).
The two teams split singles matches at Showdown in the Sun a few weeks back in Florida, so this is a "rubber match", in elimination format. The Bucks draw first blood, eliminating King after a double superkick. However, Titus, having recently been activated from the DL, does not go down, nor will he go quietly. After Nick Jackson has been eliminated, brother Matt is left alone, but Nick refuses to leave. That brings King back out to even the sides, and it's all the difference in the world. King takes out Nick, and Titus rolls up Matt to end it. Winners: The All Night Express.
