From Lakeland, Fl.:
1. Marty Scurll vs. Beer City Bruiser (non-title).
Scurll comes out wearing the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title he recently won in Japan. The fans are clearly on his side in an obvious David vs. Goliath matchup vs. the 300+ pound Bruiser, going solo for a change. Decent match, but why a ref bump? Well, during the break, Jay Lethal came out to the stage to scout Scurll, his opponent at Final Battle on 12/15. Ref Todd Sinclair was bumped down, and, with Lethal making his way down, Scurll used his umbrella to KO Bruiser. Sinclair stirred, Lethal walked back up the ramp, and the Villain wins another one.
Winner: Marty Scurll.
Dalton Castle interview. We see pictures from his amateur days up to recent times, and clips of recent matches. Cody, it turns out, packed The Boys into shipping crates to get rid of them, but that only emboldens Castle more to go after the ROH title. We see clips of his match with a then-babyface Christopher Daniels at Supercard of Honor back in April.
2. ROH tag titles: The Motor City Machine Guns vs. the Kingdom (T. K. O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia).
This was taped in Fort Lauderdale on Veterans Day. No Matt Taven at ringside, but his comrades have their weapons. Very, very even match. The end comes when O'Ryan & Marseglia decide to try to use their weapons (an axe & a baseball bat) on the Guns, who duck & dodge, having already forced a couple of collisions between the challengers. O'Ryan ends up eating a double team version of Cradle Shock to end it.
Winners: The Motor City Machine Guns.
The Briscoes invade the Team 3D Training School. Uh-oh! Two students get wiped out. Will Devon leave his WWE job as a producer-agent and reunite Team 3D?
Coleman's Pulpit was a waste of time. Coleman interviewed himself via trick photography.
3. Travis "Flip" Gordon vs. Adam Page.
Page is no longer billed as "Hangman", though he still wears a noose to the ring. He's added a bandana mask like an outlaw, but that's an inner-city thing, or an LAX thing if you're an Impact fan. Best match on the show, and a showcase for Gordon, who's been trying to marshal some undercard forces to stop the Bullet Club. Good luck with that, as they're this generation's nWo, like it or not.
Page went for Rite of Passage, but it was countered. He & Gordon matched superkicks, but Gordon has the last word with a somersault version of the Eclipse (springboard stunner, Ember Moon's finisher).
Winner: Travis "Flip" Gordon.
As the replay is run, the Young Bucks hit the ring. Nick Jackson is wearing a ref's shirt, and holds Gordon so brother Matt can superkick him. Meanwhile, Cody is in the production truck, and cuts a promo on Gordon to close the show.
As this episode aired in most of the country for the first time on 12/2, that same night, Gordon def. Cody to win the Northeast Wrestling title.
