John Hathaway Talks Upcoming Fight With Dong Hyun Kim

John Hathaway will return from a 17-month layoff when he headlines a UFC event against Dong Hyun Kim.

He has been sidelined with illness( ulcerative colitis) and injuries has left him on the shelf.

The fight will go down March 1 with the event titled “The Ultimate Fighter: China’s” live finale, which will stream on UFC Fight Pass from The Venetian Macao’s CotaiArena in Macau.

During an recent interview with MMA Junkie, he gave some quotes:

“I can’t wait for this fight, It’s such a great opportunity. … [Kim] has been doing so well in the UFC. We’ve both got great records. I think it’s going to be a real barnburner for this event.”

“Our division is just getting stronger, “It was one of the strongest, and now it’s even stronger. It’s just wide open right now with Georges taking a step down. I loved the Hendricks fight he had with Georges. I loved the Robbie Lawler fight he had with MacDonald. You can’t beat this. This many athletes? The top 10 is going to be constantly changing."

“With Kim, one of us is going to get the win. It’s going to put one of us at least in the top 10 and hopefully within a couple fights of a title shot.”
