Live the real life of a wrestler, manager, referee, ring announcer, broadcaster or road agent/booker in Southern California

San Bernardino, California September 15, 2010: American Championship Wrestling in cooperation with the Empire Wrestling Federation and the School of Hard Knocks will give wrestling fans the opportunity to live the real life of a wrestler, manager, ring announcer, referee or broadcaster for 4 days. The next camp is scheduled for October 20-25, 2010. Campers will work intensively with the instructors, wrestlers and students of the Empire Wrestling Federation, and will graduate at an EWF live house show. Attendance is limited to 6, with 2 spots remaining as of today.

The camp gives wrestling fans deep immersion in the real day to day world of wrestling in their chosen capacity. Campers may select to appear as a wrestler, manager, referee, ring announcer or broadcaster. Classes will include basics of booking, promoting and running a wrestling show as well as match psychology and audio and video production. Campers will attend an Empire Wrestling Federation show backstage to learn how a wresting show works behind the scenes. The next day campers will work on a house show, including appearing on Empire Wrestling Federations new television program and Internet party after the TV show.

The School of Hard Knocks is located just east of Los Angeles, and is close to Disneyland, So Cal beaches and other attractions. Camp attendance is limited to 6 persons per camp. Jesse Hernandez, the founder of the Empire Wrestling Federation and the School of Hard Knocks operates one of the most successful wrestling promotions in California. The Empire Wrestling Federation recently celebrated its 14th anniversary. Jesse has wrestled and referred throughout the world and has appeared in many movies. Other instructors include Jeff Manning, a licensed promoter in Oregon, with 15 years experience as a referee, promoter and manager. Herb Kraft, who has promoted wrestling in the Southeast during the “territory era” has over 30 years experience in wrestling and broadcasting.
