Evolution of Raw 1000th
Can I start out a sentence with one word AWESOME (good win MIz By the way). This past Monday was Epic for two reasons. The first one, the most obvious was it was Monday Night Raw’s 1000th Show; unprecedented in TV. It was also superstar epic. It has been years since we saw a true DX reunion. No we didn’t see Chyna (get better); Rick Rude has passed (R.I.P. Ravishing One). But this marked the reunion of the core of DX in its glory. The Road Dogg didn’t miss a beat and it was good to see X-Pac and Billy Gunn. Triple H and Shawn Michaels were at their usually best…sorry Sandow!!!!
Now, another Epic moment on Raw 1000, Takerrrrrr!!!! A man who in the past 5 years we only see close to WrestleMania and at of course Mania, His Brothers of Destruction reunion was awesome. Must we wait until March to see the Phenom again?!. The WWE brought back star after star, I just wish we saw Trish in action, Thank you Lita for beating “the One Man Rock Band” and who would have thought we’d see THE A.P.A one more time……………… DAMN!!!!!!!
Finalllllly the Rock has come back to RAW!!!! Excellent scripting of putting the Rock in with CM Punk awesome Mic on Mic work. I for one can’t wait for the Rumble. Excellent way to use the Rock and Big Show at the end also. Not sure what they are going to do with Cena, I for one thought we’d have a rematch from Mania, but who knows.
A lot of legends were there, would have been nice to see the Horseman, but understandably since they didn’t actually form in the WWE, they wouldn’t make an appearance. But it was good to see all the faces and personalities we’ve grown to love. Brodus Clay and Dude Love…Classic
All and all the show was great, Only person missing, yet after we found out why is understandable was Stone Cold Steve Austin, Many references to the Attitude Era, there is no Era with Austin 3:16. We missed at less one, two or three stunners and a few “stone colds”…..Get better soon Mr. Austin we miss you. “Here’s to ya!!!!!
I will be remised not to mention, probable the biggest pop of the night goes to “The Billion Dollar Princess” Stephanie McMahon beating down Paul Heyman…now this goes back to the ECW merger/GM issue so this was bound to happen.
Ok, Where does RAW go from here, we go from show 1001 to hopefully show 2000 like Triple H said.
Looking forward to Summer Slam, Looking forward to the further Evolution of Monday Night Raw.
